TEACHERS’ STRATEGIES IN INCORPORATING HIGHER-ORDER THINKING SKILLS IN READING CLASSES

<p>Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) have been mentioned in education including teaching and learning English as a foreign language Vietnam. However, how to integrate HOTS into teaching, particularly reading skill, has one of the greatest concerns EFL high school teachers current context. Therefore, study was carried out explore teachers’ strategies for incorporating classes. Questionnaires, classroom observations, semi-structured interviews were employed collect data from eighty teachers. The findings research indicate that applying playing games, making predictions, modeling, structuring classroom, asking questions giving feedback.
